This 6-song cassette was recorded in the living room of my upstairs apartment. The significant evolutionary step for this cassette, as compared to 1988's Addicted To Withdrawal, was I now actually OWNED a bass guitar, drum machine, and 4-track cassette deck, and so could take more time with things.
For this cassette, I used my fancy new equipment to rework two songs from Addicted To Withdrawal - namely "Under The Sun" and "Tim's Humanistic-Existential Gay Bar And Grill" - plus I added three new originals and a cover of Neil Young's "Tonight's The Night," the latter of which I always enjoyed playing live.
Fictional band members were Alfalfa (me), Timothy, A. Grassheap, and Alice.
This cassette charted on Canadian campus radio stations in late 1990, around the same time that titles like Jellyfish Babies' "The Unkind Truth About Rome," William S. Burroughs' "Dead City Radio," Jandek's "Somebody In The Snow," and Nirvana's "Silver/Dirt" were charting.
